enough 不論作副詞或形容詞,其後通常接『for + 名詞』或『不定詞片語(to + 原形動詞)』。
1. enough 作副詞時,表『足夠可以』,修飾形容詞或副詞,採後位修飾,即 enough 恆置於該形容詞或副詞之後,而不可置於其前,本句即為此例。

Mr. Jones is old enough to retire.
