Do you have a favorite musician? 你有最喜愛的音樂家嗎?
A: Do you want to go to the concert in the park this weekend? 你這個週末想參加公園裡音樂會嗎?
 B:Sure! 好啊! There’s something about the band’s guitar player that I really like. 樂團裡的吉他手有我很喜歡的特質。
A: Me too.我也是。He’s like his mother.他的個性像他的母親。They’re both talented and kind.他們很有才華又很仁慈。
B: Did you hear the rumor that he stole another musician’s guitar last year?你有聽說他去年偷了另一位吉他手東西的謠言嗎?
A: I don’t believe it. 我才不信。He has enough money to buy any guitar.他有足夠的錢買另一把吉他。
B: And he’s above stealing.他不致於會偷東西吧。

■句子解說:
1. Do you want to go to the concert in the park this weekend? 你這個週末想參加公園裡音樂會嗎?
不定詞: To V"表達「未來目標」的意思，所以只要跟未來打算要做的事有關，就要用不定詞。want to+Rv=想要做某事。英文句子的排列順序是「主詞、動詞、地點、時間」，和中文不一樣，所以動詞go to the concert先說，再說地點in the park，最後說時間this weekend。
2. There’s something about the band’s guitar player that I really like.樂團裡的吉他手有我很喜歡的特質。。
 關代that: 因先行詞為 the band’s guitar player，故用that，又受詞性質的關係代名詞(that)可省略。that用於人或物的受詞。
There’s =There is，There is + 單數名詞，指「在某某地方，有什麼東西或人」的意思。There's something有某件事，about the band's...player...like是介詞片語當形容詞修飾something。that帶領關係子句當形容詞修飾player。英文的特色就是「從後面一直往前增加修飾語」好像一層層的洋蔥一樣，中文的形容詞則不管多長都會放在名詞前面。
3. They’re both talented and kind.他們很有才華又很仁慈。
句型: A and B＋be動詞＋both…. 　A和B兩者都…。both最常出現的位置為be動詞之後，但若be動詞前面為代名詞時，則both可移至be動詞之前。
4. He has enough money to buy any guitar.他有足夠的錢買另一把吉他。
...enough to+V (足以...)，如I am tall enough to play basketball.我長得夠高可以打籃球了。
介係詞:
1.about [əˋbaʊt]: partially describing someone.部分描述某人
例句1: There’s something about that actor that I don’t like. 我不喜歡那位演員的一些事。→ about描述那位演員that actor
例句2: There’s something about the new professor that I really admire.我真的很欣賞新教授的某事。→ about描述the new professor

 例句1: I’m like my sister. 我的個性像我姐姐。We’re both shy.我們都很害羞。
例句2: My talented friend, Mark, sounds like that famous singer.我的很有才華的朋友Mark，聽起來像那位聞名的歌手。
蝦米註：注意What do you like?(你喜歡什麼？)和What are you like?(你是怎樣的一個人？）的不同。還有，問What is your father like?(你爸爸是怎樣的人？)是在問個性，而不是問他長得像誰，可以用長相及個性回答，如He's tall and thin. He's brave.他高高瘦瘦的。很勇敢。

 例句1: The students are above cheating on exams.學生在大考時候，不致於會作弊。
 例句2: I don’t think she stole your books.我覺得她不會偷你的書。 She’s above stealing.她不致於會偷東西。
