Some ways to tell one's fortune are well-known. Many people have had predictions made through the use of crystal balls. Others turn to tarot cards to help them understand a particular situation. Still others prefer to have the lines on the palms of their hands read to find out what their future may be like.

Another way uses wild birds. A person with a question catches a bird and brings it to the fortune-teller. The bird is then released. The fortune-teller watches how the bird flies before he or she makes a prediction.
