嬰兒潮，
Baby boom (or baby booming),
指的是在某一時期及特定地區，出生率大幅度提昇的現象。
which means the birthrate highly raise in a certain period and in a certain area.
歷史上有記載的幾次嬰兒潮，
According to the baby booms in history,
通常是起因於有振奮人心的因素，
it's usually caused by the factors of excitement from some good news,
像是農作物豐收、打贏戰爭及贏得體育競賽等。
such as harvest in season, win the wars and win athletic competitions.
但也有因為迷信的因素。

台灣最近的一次嬰兒潮是在2000年千禧年的嬰兒潮，
The most recent baby boom is the one that happened in 2000a.c.,
因為許多夫妻想藉由這個特別的年份生個千禧寶寶，

另一個原因是2000年正逢中國農曆年的龍年，

傳統觀念有望子成龍，望女成鳳的期望。
