out of…的用法

out of 是介系詞，字面上是「從（某處）出來」，例如 got out of the car，也可表示「源出於」的抽象涵義，例如 made out of wood，或是「脫離（某種狀態），遠離」，例如 came out of her trance; The plane flew out of sight.，進而引申為「超出（範圍），停止（狀況），用盡」，例如 out of practice。 can’t see a thing 看不出來、看不到 這句話不是「你看不見。你瞎了。」而是「看不出來」的意思。英文中的 you 跟中文的「你」一樣，在許多情況下不代表講話的對象，而是泛指「大家，一般人，所有人」。對話中這句 You can’t see a thing. 就表示「大家都看不出來。」
