Not the Good Old Days Anymore

All the
beepin' and a-buzzin',動詞的ing也常會偷懶的唸成in'
All these kids a-pushin' and a-shovin' is makin' me angry!
He's a-ramblin' all over town in his new walking shoes.

Not the Good Old Days Anymore
[The elderly Mr. Chenmeets old Mrs. Wang at convenience store. Both are retired and
in their eighties.]
Mrs. Wang: I'm swell. Just thinking about the good old days. Remember when the Lins
owned a mom - and - popshop where this 7 - ELEVEN now stands?
Mr. Chen: Ah, the old days... Those Lins sure knew how to run a store. Not like these
young whipper - snappers.
Mrs. Wang: We come in here every morning, and every morning the clerks say the
same " Huanying Guanglin ". They don't even knowour names.
Mr. Chen: And this place is too loud. All that beepin' and a-buzzin' when the doors
open. Thsese kids must be immune to noise.
